About the School
Sree Narayana Trusts Central School, is a premier Senior Secondary school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education in Kerala. It is named after the great social reformer philosopher and saint Sree Narayana Guru (1854-1928) who preached the noble message of universal brotherhood and love through his dictum: ‘One Caste One Religion and One God for man’.
The school is located in the heart of Kollam city near Karbala Junction and is nestled close in the arms of SN College for Men, SN College for Women, SN Women’s Hostel and VNSS College of Nursing. The easy accessibility of the school from all parts of Kollam city and its outskirts is a notable advantage

Arts Festival
The school's Arts Festival is conducted every year. The fest is inaugurated by our Special Officer, Prof. K. Sambasivan, by lighting the lamp. His speech on various aspects of Art and Culture enlighten the audience. Students performed various dance items like Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattom & Folk dance. The programme is a grand success. We select Sahodaya Youth Festival Participants from those who participate and win in this Fete
Chathayam Day
Chathayam Day, the birth anniversary of Sree Narayana Guru is celebrated every year with various programmes. The Chathayam Day procession is led by the Principal Ms Nisha S and the Special Officer Prof .K. Sambasivan. Teachers, Students and Non teaching staff become part of the procession. As part of the celebrations, celebrities are honoured and scholarships are distributed. More often than not, it is our school that bags first place in the Chathayam float event
World Environment Day
World Environment Day is celebrated in our school every year with great fanfare on 5 June. Our Special Officer inaugurates the function. The welcome speech is given by our Principal. She gives a speech on the importance of protecting our environment. Various competitions like Poster making, Essay writing, Quiz etc. are conducted. This day becomes truly meaningful as the children become aware of the importance of conserving our environment.
Our Facilities
DIGITAL CLASSROOMS
The classrooms of the school have been digitalized for providing the students with audio-visual aids in learning. This digital system is loaded with programmes for each subject and for each class as per the curriculum.
LABORATORIES
Well-equipped laboratories are arranged at convenient places in the school for every subject. Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Computer labs are arranged separately in such a way that each student gets an opportunity to do the experiments or work alone.
Library
In addition to the departmental libraries, the school has a large General Library with a spacious reading room where reputed dailies and periodicals are made available for students and teachers. The library has various sections for English, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Comics etc.
BUS SERVICE
The school provides its own bus service for students and teachers to and from all parts of the city and its suburban villages. These buses ply on all school days with the school staff taking care of the students at boarding and alighting.
